How funny. Mom bought me the Betty Crocker cookbook that has Ethel's Sugar Cookie recipe. When I was a little girl I attempted to make Ethel's cookies many times without good results. Once when coming home from work at 1:00 a.m. and finding her new cookie pans in the snow with dog scratches on them (dog scratching off the burnt cookie-pans in front yard due to smoking from being burned) she had it. She tore the page out of the cookbook and I have never let her live it down.

Kids make Christmas morning so much fun. Having a white Christmas was pretty fun too. Wake up call was done by Carter at 5:30. He liked his Sure Shot Wii hunting game and was really excited about his laptop. Made me feel better about being at Wal-Mart the day after Thanksgiving at 2:30 a.m. Lili loved her teacher pointers that Santa left in her stocking and the piano dance mat. She has been putting Mario Kart to good use on her ds.

Cookie Party
A few weeks ago Lili had a few friends over to decorate cookies. It really was big fun. It was so cute to hear the girls giggle. I assumed the sprinkles and hot chocolate would be their favorite, but the girls loved rolling out the dough and cutting the cookies. I am so thankful to spend this time with Lili doing things my mom did with me.
Carters First Deer
Carter went deer hunting for the first time this year. Justin and him went with Ronnie, Reggie and Reese to the lease in Carthage. Carter shot a little button buck. He was so proud. (So was Justin)
